Calling All Actian Ingres Database Masters!

Our client is on the hunt for an Actian Ingres Database Developer to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to guru for all things Ingres. You’ll design, develop, and manage transactional databases, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Database Development & Management: Craft, build, and oversee Ingress transactional databases. Fine-tune performance and safeguard data integrity. Implement & manage backup, recovery, and security measures. Take charge of database tuning and query optimization.
• Operations Development: Craft and maintain operational procedures and scripts to streamline database management. Automate routine tasks and keep a watchful eye on system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently.
• Batch Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust batch processing systems. Guarantee timely execution and monitoring of batch jobs. Implement error handling and recovery procedures for batch processes. Ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor’s Degree: In Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Proven Development Experience: With a focus on Ingress transactional databases, operational development, and batch development.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Actian Ingres Databases, proficiency in relevant programming languages, and a solid understanding of operational and batch development processes. Bonus points for familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Soft Skills Savvy: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are a must. You’ll also need to be a great communicator and collaborator, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to top-notch quality.
