Job description

Our client, a leader in the FMCG industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their finance team. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for a large number of supplier reconciliations, payment thereof and staff management.

• Manage monthly supplier reconciliations and payment verifications.
• Review batches, GRN reports, and aged items for accuracy.
• Monitor creditor age analysis and resolve outstanding issues.
• Supervise and develop Accounts Payable staff. (4 team members)
• Handle supplier queries and oversee vendor onboarding.
• Ensure compliance and accurate Preferential Procurement reporting.
• A diploma or degree in accounting
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• 4 years' experience as an Accounts Payable Team Leader/Creditors Supervisor/AP Controller
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Proficiency on a computerized accounting package like Sage/Accpac/Baan/SAP

up to R 450K CTC (medical aid and provident fund included) (experience dependent)
