Job summary

The Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking an accounts payable assistant manager to oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function for a top-tier client. The role involves managing processes, KPI reporting, and ensuring controls are in place.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with the accounting team to mitigate risks and ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments. Experience in AP and accounting software is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable operations and processes
• Good understanding of general accounting principles
• Experience with online banking and accounting software

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounts payable process.
• Track and report KPIs related to accounts payable.
• Ensure control risks are identified and mitigated.
• Coordinate with accounting team to ensure invoices are captured accurately and paid on time.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable transactions.
• Support ad-hoc client requests and projects.
