Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper – Bryanston, Johannesburg.

A well-established, high-energy brand experience agency is seeking a skilledAccounts Officer / Bookkeeperto manage thefull financial functionas well aspayrollfunctions in a creative and deadline-driven environment. Known for delivering exceptional campaigns and events for high-profile brands, this agency blends creativity with operational excellence.

This role suits a meticulous and organised finance professional who thrives in a fast-moving setting and enjoys being part of a collaborative and innovative team.

Salary: R20 000 – R30 000 CTC per month (dependent on experience).

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 and relevant bookkeeping/accountingqualification
  • Minimum 3 years’ full-functionbookkeeping experience
  • Proficient inSage AccountingandSimplePay Payroll
  • Strong knowledge ofstatutorysubmissions (VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, IRP5)
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Magnetic software is a strong advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-function bookkeeping: capture, reconcile, and report across all accounts
  • Cashbook and bank reconciliation
  • Supplier invoicing, reconciliations, and purchase order management
  • Customer invoicing, statement generation, and debtor follow-ups
  • Processing on various client procurement platforms
  • Monthly payroll processing via SimplePay, including statutory deductions
  • VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and Workman’s Compensation submissions
  • Financial reporting: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Aged Debtors/Creditors, Job Costing, and Trial Balance
  • Employee onboarding and record management
