SUMMARY : PURPOSE :
Gijima Group Finance is recruiting for an Accounts Officer, responsible for the capturing of financial information, pulling and analysing reports and doing reconciliations.
POSITION INFO : FORMAL EDUCATION :
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance or accounting (advantageous)
EXPERIENCE :
Proven experience in working under tight deadlines and sticking to these deadlinesAccounting Diploma advantageous (advantageous)Meeting the practical training requirements of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) and admitted to the InstituteMinimum of 7 years relevant experience in a Financial Shared services corporate environmentStrong financial administration requiredHighly skilled in mathematics and financeRESPONSIBILITIES :

Prepares, reviews, analyses and presents financial data and reporting documentationBalance sheet, Income statement, Cash flow Management packsExco pack cash reportsAudit support
Provides assistance to auditors in requests for information (e.g. supporting documents) during the audit processGeneral Ledger
Prepares, processes and follows up on journals and maintains various ledgers.Conducts monthly recons and variance analysis on IRIA and Prepayments and all other Balance sheet GLs.Do FI Billing and Credit notesPrepare Revenue reconciliationsManage Intercompany transactions and loan accountsDetail knowledge on the Cash management process
Processing and reconciliation of company petty cash expensesReleasing of creditor payments to the bankResolve outstanding items on bank accountsManaging the company credit card processPayroll Financial function
Post payroll and manage the payroll vendor paymentsRecon and manage Payroll balance sheet GLs e.g. Leave, Pay at riskAsset Management
