Job description
A well-established manufacturing and distribution company requires the above to increase market share by promoting a range of speciality and commodity food raw material ingredients into a portfolio of existing and new food and beverage manufacturing customers within the industry. Minimum requirements for the role:
A BSc or national diploma in food science, food technology or related qualification is preferred for this role but is not essential.
Previous sales experience working within the food and beverage ingredients industry supplying food manufacturing markets is preferred.
A strong understanding of the food and beverage market, including knowledge of additives, ingredients, and processing aids is preferred for the role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients at various organizational levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM Systems. Syspro or SAP experience would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Increasing market share by promoting a range of speciality and commodity food raw material ingredients into a portfolio of existing and new food and beverage manufacturing customers within the industry.
Identifying new markets and product opportunities and grow year on year in terms of volume, revenue and margins.
Handling multi-level relationships and price negotiations at customers.
Driving working platform pipeline and key projects.
Preparing annual sales budgets, monthly forecasts, sales reports and quarterly business reviews.
Providing timely reports and information as required by management.
Working closely with product managers and sales managers and NPD department to ensure that customer expectations are met.
Staying informed about industry trends and advancements to effectively promote products, ensuring clients are aware of the latest solutions available.
