Job summary

Cavalli Estate is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate pursuing a qualification in Accounting or Finance to gain practical experience in a dynamic business environment.

You will assist with creditors, debtors, stock control, and reporting, using Excel and Pastel. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and strong numerical skills as you support the Financial Manager with monthly schedules

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed qualification in Accounting, Finance, or bookkeeping.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally.
• Experience with Pastel Accounting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of inventory control and reconciliations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, payment schedules, reconciliations and credit applications.
• Prepare month-end supplier schedules for cash flow forecasting.
• Process sales invoices, assist with cash-ups and reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Assist with stock reconciliations, weekly counts, variance investigations and inventory reporting.
• Perform general finance administration and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare reports and schedules as required by the Financial Manager.
• Update the Fixed Asset Register monthly and assist with ad hoc finance projects
