HRExec are a Global Recruitment Specialist seeking key talent for a highly entrepreneurial international supply chain logistics business. Which has 21 offices across 10 countries on 5 continents, is looking to expedite the growth of their operations.
Responsibilities
Internal review of open shipments in collaboration with Operations teams.
Consolidation and compiling of job management reports.
Identify potential write offs and resolve queries/ recover losses timeously.
Prepare, process and report on journals for under/over recoveries.
Arrange for relevant approvals and final close of completed shipments.
Daily capturing of cashbook, accounts receivable and accounts payable entries.
Preparation of weekly / monthly creditors reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly bank and other reconciliations.
Work directly with suppliers and operations personnel to manage and resolve queries.
Capture payments on banking platforms.
Assist with audits and other financial compliance requirements.
Other ad-hoc / related tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
B.com in accounting (or similar / related) (preferred, but not essential)
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
5 years of experience in a similar position (within the shipping industry).
Experience with the CargoWise platform (preferred, but not essential).
