Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant

Our Client is a leading property development company based at Century City. They are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in Pastel Accounting, Sage VIP Payroll, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Process invoices, payments, and payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded.
  4. Manage and oversee financial data entry and filing systems.
  5. Assisting with fortnightly wages.
  6. Assisting with frontline reception, insurance claims, and consents.

Requirements

  1. Relevant Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus.
  2. 3 Years proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
  3. Proficiency in Pastel Accounting, Sage VIP Payroll, and Excel.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  7. Strong communication skills.
