Job description

MSA Outsourcing Solutions is on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of financial transactions like invoices and payments into accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers
  • Preparation of monthly credit card reconciliations
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
  • Assistance with preparation of VAT / Goods and Services Tax returns
  • Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in monitoring expenditures and preparing budgets
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
  • Efficiently managing the company Finance mailbox, promptly addressing incoming communications, and managing correspondences with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an account assistant or in a similar accounting role
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience of working for a Property Management company is advantageous
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
