Job description

Hilton College is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Accounting Teacher to join our vibrant team. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideally commencing on 01 October 2025 or as soon s possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department (HOD) of Accounting.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Collaborating with the Accounting department team to develop original resources and assessments.
• Inspiring students with a passion for Accounting.
• Ensuring high standards of pupil achievement and upholding the prominence of Accounting within the school.
• Participating in co-curricular and pastoral care programs

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A relevant degree and a professional teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Accounting from Grades 8 to 12.
• Familiarity with the IEB curriculum is essential.
• Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) is required.
• Knowledge of international trends in Accounting education is beneficial.
• Experience with CIE: Accounting is advantageous.
