Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, passionate Accounting, Statistics & Financial Management lecturer who has relevant industry knowledge, to join our academic team to teach and mentor the next generation of Red & Yellow game changers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a vibrant Academic team – alongside our marketers, learning designers and programme managers. This role will provide you an excellent opportunity to support and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

This position will require, but is not limited, to the following activities:

• Develop, review and deliver curriculum content, lectures, workshops and tutorials in alignment with Red & Yellow's teaching philosophy, accredited programme outcomes and industry standards.
• Design, administer, mark and moderate assessments, tests and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
• Monitor student attendance, academic performance and progress, maintaining accurate records and implementing appropriate interventions for at-risk students.
• Contribute to curriculum reviews, programme evaluations and benchmarking activities to ensure ongoing academic quality, relevance and alignment with digital marketing industry developments.
• Participate in academic governance, quality assurance, internal and external moderation, examination, certification and student progression processes.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students on module content, assessments and programme-related queries.
• Maintain accurate academic records and documentation, ensuring all administrative responsibilities, reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues, industry professionals and relevant stakeholders to enhance programme content and facilitate industry engagement opportunities, including guest lectures and masterclasses.
• Support student recruitment and programme promotion in collaboration with the Marketing and Student Advisor teams.
• Participate in student application and registration processes, student grievance and disciplinary proceedings, faculty meetings, open days, graduations and other relevant institutional activities.
• Uphold Red & Yellow's academic standards, institutional policies, procedures and values, while maintaining current knowledge of digital marketing practices and effective teaching methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NQF 8 (Honours or PG Dip) qualification in an Accounting, Statistics & Financial Management related fields
• Minimum 2 years of rigorous and demonstrable experience in accounting, financial management or statistic
• Minimum 3 years teaching, course development and academic management experience in higher education
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the subject area is advantageous
• Tech Savvy - Google Workspace (Gmail, GDrive, GSheets, etc.), Zoom and/or Microsoft 360 package
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver an engaging high-quality lecturing and supporting learning activities
