IVANHOE MINES is looking for an Accounting Manager - Exploration

Ivanhoe Mines is a leading Canadian mining company committed to becoming a global leader in the supply of critical resources required to transition our world to a low-carbon, renewable future. Ivanhoe is focused on developing and expanding its four principal mining and exploration projects in Southern Africa. These include:

• The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
• The Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa.
• The extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
• Exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.

This is a key finance role within multiple group companies involved in exploration activities in the DRC, Angola, Zambia, and Kazakhstan.

Requirements:

• Completed Finance degree (BCom/BCom Honours).
• Extensive knowledge of accounting software and proficiency in Excel.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but are not limited to:

Managing the full finance and reporting functions across multiple exploration companies in the DRC, Angola, Zambia, and Kazakhstan.

Operational responsibilities include managing the finance exploration team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, service delivery, collaboration across all sites, and liaising with suppliers, banks, and insurers.
