Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Accounting Manager in Sandton to lead the finance team, ensure accurate accounting operations, and support strategic objectives. You will oversee a team of accounting professionals, drive process improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance in South Africa.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, a CPA or equivalent, at least 7 years of accounting experience with 3+ in management, and strong IFRS knowledge plus SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle and advanced Excel.
• Excellent leadership, team management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Oversee the preparation and finalization of financial statements and reports.
