Job summary

Rosebank College, part of The IIE Rosebank International, seeks an Accounting lecturer to deliver scheduled modules and support student success. The role involves preparing assessments, tracking progress, and collaborating with the Central Academic Team to enhance teaching and learning practices.

This position requires a Master’s in Accounting, 2–3 years of lecturing experience, and familiarity with digital learning platforms. Market-related salary and EE preference are noted.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (NQF 9) in Accounting is required.
• 2–3 years lecturing or tutoring experience.
• 1–3 years industry experience in the subject area is advantageous.
• One NQF level higher than the qualification being taught is required.
• Copy of academic transcript must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students according to module pacers.
• Manage resources including academic materials and liaise with the Information Centre.
• Update the learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Engage and prepare students for assessments; identify at-risk students and develop assessments per briefings.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions with escalation as needed.
• Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on, review and analyse student module results.
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in allocated modules.
• Complete academic professional development interventions each cycle to improve teaching practices.
