Job description

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! The Country Grocer Ladysmith is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Processing of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable invoices
  2. Ensuring invoices are authorized, mathematically correct, pricing verified, and purchases reconciled
  3. Accurately executing data entry with attention to detail and in a timely manner to meet deadlines
  4. Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes
  5. Establishing and maintaining vendor & project files
  6. Carrying out other accounting-related tasks and providing administrative support as required
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other common software
  • High standards for detail and problem solving
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience and Education:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Grocery or warehouse experience considered an asset
