Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a qualified accounting professional in Gauteng to support the full finance function on a trainee/assistant basis. The role emphasizes monthly management accounts, statutory submissions, and year-end processes, with SAIPA articles completed and a BCom in accounting.

You will contribute to financial reporting, assist with budgeting, and help maintain the general ledger under supervision, with growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• Completed SAIPA Articles.
• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 1 year post-articles accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements.
• Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and income tax.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions.
• Prepare annual financial statements.
• Support external auditors during year-end audits.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
