Accountant – Senior Tax Consultant – Reference SSASTC

The candidates must possess the following:

1. Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma. This is non-negotiable.
2. Completed articles.
3. Affiliations to SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA and SAIBA are preferred.
4. Working Pastel Experience and knowledge.
5. At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage full accounting and tax function of client portfolio.
2. Produce monthly management reports.
3. Full accounting function to trial balance.
4. Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on Caseware.
5. Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters.
6. Must have experience on e-filing.
7. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
8. Conduct themselves in a professional manner, adhering to professionalism and workplace etiquette.
9. Prepare and submit:
1. Income tax returns for individuals and companies.
2. Provisional tax returns for individuals and companies.
3. VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.
10. Competent to attend to all SARS correspondence.
11. Filing of notices of objections and suspension of debt on e-filing.

A valid driver’s license and own vehicle. (This is non-negotiable.) The candidate will be required to travel to clients at various locations.

Salary: The salary will be market related, taking into consideration the candidate’s qualifications, number of years of experience, and salary expectation.
