An established firm is seeking an experienced accountant to manage essential financial operations, including ledger maintenance, compliance, and liaising with auditors. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have 2-5 years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in accounting software like Sage or QuickBooks. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential as the role involves supporting month-end processes and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with filings
Liaise with auditors and support audit processes
Recommend and implement accounting controls and process improvements Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience
Progress toward or completion of a professional designation (SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA) is advantageous
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.
Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP)
Skills and attributes
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

Excellent time management and communication skills
