JOB DESCRIPTION

A challenging opportunity has arisen within the Menswear division, which includes Markham, Fabiani, G Star, and Relay, of the company for an Accountant. This role will report to the Head of Finance in Menswear to provide financial compliance, reporting, planning, and cost management across the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Head of Finance and Management Accountant in analysing management reports and financial performance of the divisions against their specific budgets;
  2. Assist with preparation and analysis of standard monthly management reports (OPEX and CAPEX), providing interpretation and commentary for review;
  3. Support with year-end procedures and reports;
  4. Assist with recharges of overhead costs to other divisions in the group and related queries;
  5. Populate journal templates and supporting documentation to submit to the Record to Report function within Shared Services (including accruals, year-end journals, intercompany entries);
  6. Perform sundry cost centre management activities;
  7. Prepare ad hoc or tailored financial reports required by the division;
  8. Perform business unit-specific finance activities, or ad hoc finance activities requiring contact or physical interface with colleagues in the divisions;
  9. Support the Finance and Systems Management CoE on new systems or projects, including requirement gathering, testing, and deployment;
  10. Provide assistance to non-financial line managers and reporting on all financial aspects relating to their area / cost centres on both OPEX and CAPEX, including supplier queries;
  11. Assist in reconciliation of monthly financial results to the Integrated financial plan and rolling 12 months forecast, providing analysis and understanding of these results;
  12. Assist in finalising the month-end close-off process;
  13. Assist line managers with SAP BPC budget tool capturing and balancing;
  14. Assist in preparing and completing various monthly & quarterly Excel spreadsheets for reporting purposes;
  15. Provide Coupa and SharePoint support to the business;
  16. Assist in reconciling COUPA GRIR to services rendered/goods delivered;
  17. Perform other ad-hoc duties and allocated projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BCom/Hons Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or equivalent
  • ACCA (advantage)
  • CIMA (advantage)
  • 4+ years post-qualification experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
  • Relevant accounting experience
