Job Description
A challenging opportunity has arisen within the Menswear division, which includes Markham, Fabiani, G Star, and Relay, of the company for an Accountant. This role reports to the Head of Finance in Menswear and is responsible for financial compliance, reporting, planning, and cost management across the division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Finance and Management Accountant in analyzing management reports and financial performance against budgets.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly management reports (OPEX and CAPEX), providing interpretation and commentary.
- Support year-end procedures and reports.
- Assist with recharges of overhead costs to other divisions and related queries.
- Populate journal templates and supporting documentation for the Record to Report function, including accruals, year-end journals, and intercompany entries.
- Manage sundry cost centre activities.
- Prepare ad hoc or tailored financial reports as required by the division.
- Perform finance activities specific to the business unit or ad hoc tasks involving contact with division colleagues.
- Support the Finance and Systems Management CoE on new systems or projects, including requirement gathering, testing, and deployment.
- Assist non-financial line managers with financial reporting related to their areas, including supplier queries.
- Reconcile monthly financial results with the financial plan and forecasts, providing analysis.
- Assist in the month-end close process.
- Support SAP BPC budget tool capturing and balancing.
- Prepare and complete monthly and quarterly reports in Excel.
- Support Coupa and SharePoint platforms.
- Reconcile COUPA GRIR to services rendered or goods delivered.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BCom/Hons Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Relevant accounting experience.
