Accountant (JB) - Bryanston, Gauteng

Salary: R35 to R37 per month (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

A well-established marketing organization is looking for a professional and dedicated Accountant to join their finance team.

This full-time role is ideal for a candidate with a BCom in Accounting and 2–4 years of experience, with completed SAIPA / CIMA articles.

The position offers exposure to core accounting functions, audit preparation, budgeting, and senior management support. Flexibility is required during critical periods such as board meetings and month-end.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license
• BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
• Completed SAIPA / CIMA qualification
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, SAP, Xero)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture financial data and maintain accurate records
• Bring books to trial balance and perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with budget and forecasting processes
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
• Prepare and compile board packs and presentations for senior management
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders
• Provide assistance during board meetings, month-end closing, and financial reviews
