Job Title: Accountant | Group Finance | Africa ex-SA

Job Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

Deadline: May 05, 2025

Main Responsibilities
  1. The accounting function for the entity includes:
  2. Preparation of cash book entries and payments, as required
  3. Reviewing payments
  4. Reviewing cash book entries and receipt of fee income
  5. Preparing monthly journal entries
  6. Preparing and reviewing credit card journals and entries
Reporting Requirements
  1. Management information for company and group consolidated reporting
  2. Monthly preparation of AFS and management income statement
  3. Monthly analysis of income versus budget and assets
  4. Monthly capital adequacy monitoring for reporting to MD
  5. Regulatory reporting
  6. Quarterly and annual reporting
  7. Additional ad hoc regulatory reporting and assistance
  8. Tax reporting for entities in Namibia and Botswana
  9. Returns and payments for VAT, income tax, WHT (pending amendments)
  10. Tax follow-ups with authorities
Board
  • Preparation of financial reports for directors’ meetings
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (BCom, BAccSc, BCompt, or relevant)
  • Preferred: 3-5 years post-qualification experience in financial services
