Job description

CLIENT in the TRANSPORT AND PASSENGER SERVICES INDUSTRY requires the services of an ACCOUNTANT at their offices in the GAUTENG area as soon as possible.

POSITION INFO:

The responsibilities of the Accountant will be quite extensive to ensure that all-round accountancy duties are performed, including:

  1. Preparing and reviewing reconciliations;
  2. Focus on financial analysis;
  3. Ensuring that monthly management reports are generated timeously;
  4. Assisting with management accounts, schedules, and queries;
  5. Preparing financial policies and procedures;
  6. Assisting with year-end functions;
  7. Handling individual company accounts and any other ad hoc assignments/projects assigned from Group Financial Executive and Company Secretary.

The ideal candidate must have at least a BCom Degree or an equivalent degree/qualification, along with a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in an accounting environment, together with relevant IFRS knowledge and experience.
