Job description

Accountant Position

Our global corporate client in Sandton is looking for an Accountant with 2-3 years' experience and a completed NQF7 degree.

A completed SAICA / SAIPA Qualification is an added bonus.

You will be accountable for transaction processing, reporting, control, and decision support.

Salary: R per annum (6 months maternity cover that might go permanent)

Working hours: 9.00 am – 17:30 pm Mon to Fri or 09:30 – 18:00 (variable depending on team workload)

Minimum Qualifications: Matric and Financial / Finance Degree NQF7

Registered SAIPA / SAICA recommended but not a must

2-3 years financial accounting experience as an Accountant

This position demands exceptional quality, attention to detail, and strict adherence to pre-determined deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Proficiency in pivot tables and V-lookups for manipulating large quantities of data is essential.

Candidates must be highly numerate and competent in Excel for expense analysis and reporting, with analytical skills to review and interpret trends and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.

The ability to troubleshoot and analyze data is also required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts processing & preparation to trial balance including management and statutory accounts.
  2. Incorporate the trial balances and cash books into the firm's consolidated monthly accounts.
  3. Assist with accounting computations, journal processing, and the review of balance sheet control accounts.
  4. Assist in the preparation of the Group's Limited Liability Partnership financial statements under applicable International standards.
  5. Assist in the preparation of the statutory financial statements of some of the LLP's subsidiary undertakings.
  6. Create audit files and answer any audit queries that may arise.
  7. Load payments to suppliers and assist with statutory returns.
  8. Correct any errors in posting and deal with other queries raised.
  9. Assist in the preparation of the firm's annual budget.
  10. Assist with the preparation of the global budget.
