Accountant (Fixed Contract)

Hire Resolve's client, a diversified metals recovery company, is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting to contribute to a dynamic and growing company in the metals recovery industry.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
3. Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
4. Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
5. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
6. Process and review journal entries.
7. Assist in preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
8. Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other tax returns in accordance with SARS regulations.
9. Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
11. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
12. Support cash flow management.
13. Collaborate with internal departments for financial queries.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mining or manufacturing industry.
3. Experience with SAP, Pastel, or other accounting software.
4. Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. High attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
8. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
