Key Responsibilities: (What are the top 4 focus areas of the job, Safety First is required)

  • Ensure accurate processing and preparation of all Financial Data up to Trial Balance Level.
  • Ensure accurate processing of month end Journals up to Trial Balance.
  • Prepare General Ledger reconciliations and reconcile with supporting documentation on Blackline.
  • Draft Statutory Financial Statements in CaseWare.
  • Assist in the Preparation of Monthly/Yearly Closings.
  • Ensure compliance to monthly finance checklist
  • Monthly expense Review of expenses for the East Africa & SADC region.
  • Ensure Capex applications complete as per checklist for sign off submission.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting queries.
  • Assist in the performance of Compliance Scorecard Self -assessment testing
  • Any other additional duties, as required
  • Adhere to all HSE and housekeeping requirements
  • Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • BCom Accounting or equivalent
  • 1/2 Years related experience
  • ERP system experience (preferably SAP)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, ERP Software)
  • Ware experience


Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies and present information to top management.

Mathematical:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
