Job summary

Shift Pursuit in Durban is seeking a motivated accounting professional nearing SAIPA articles to grow in a professional firm. The role focuses on supporting the preparation of financial statements, client reporting, and tax/compliance tasks under senior guidance.

The successful candidate will strengthen analytical and coordination skills, work both independently and as part of a team, and contribute to maintaining accurate records while complying with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• Currently completing or nearing completion of SAIPA Articles.
• Relevant Accounting Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in accounting or auditing firm.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with the preparation of financial statements.
• Tax and compliance knowledge advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements.
