As part of a team of Accountants, this role will be responsible for the efficient and effective posting of journals, processing, reconciliations, all capex reports, and assisting with all financial month end and year end activities.
This role will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are achieved as per the time and quality standards agreed upon.Key Responsibilities : Ensure FAR is accurate and completeCreate projects on SAP and capitalize all approved transactionsProcess acquisitions, retirements and transfersEnsure project settlement runs are doneEnsure that depreciation is run for FRG company codes on the FAREnsure AUC is accurate and project ageing is within set SLACommunicate to divisions on overdue projects that should have been capitalised within the SLA periodEnsure asset journals postings are accuratePrepare FAR versus TB reconciliations for all FRG company codesAssist with Quarterly forecasting reportsDetailed analysis of all manual asset accounts and profit / loss on disposal of assets and impairmentsDetailed analysis of capitalizations / additionsImprovement of templates and reportsIFRS16 reconciliationsPresent recons to Review panelCreate structured SOPs for Assets TeamEnsure customer requests is done accurate and timeouslyWork alongside the group accounting and statutory reporting team to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed as per the agreed timelines and guidelines, including assisting with monthly finance activities.Qualifications and Experience : Degree in Finance / Accounting (required)3-5 years Fixed Asset experience (required)SAP experience (preferable)Coupa experience (preferable)Skills : Good working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel.Good time management skillsGood administration skillsPlanning skillsProblem-solving abilitiesAttention to detailGood verbal and written communications skillsBehaviours : Creating & Innovating - Producing creative, original ideas for dealing with specific tasks, procedures, delivering quality and improving efficienciesApplying Expertise & Technology - Has an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge pertaining to own field of expertise, including specifics of procedures and task executions.
