Accountant | Remote (Cape Town, South Africa) | R50,000 - R60,000 PCM | Xero Experience Essential

We’re working in partnership with a fast-growing UK business to find a proactive and detail-driven Accountant to join their dynamic remote team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a skilled finance professional who thrives in a varied role and is passionate about making a real impact within a close-knit operations team.

The Role:

You’ll be at the heart of the finance function, ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. From transaction processing and reconciliations to preparing management accounts, you’ll be hands-on across all aspects of the finance cycle. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and liaise with stakeholders, so great communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily use of Xero to manage financial transactions
  • Bank reconciliations and banking analysis
  • Posting sales and purchase invoices
  • Managing intercompany ledgers and control spreadsheets
  • Supporting payroll and staff expenses
  • Reconciling data across finance systems and HubSpot
  • Processing payments and client card transactions
  • Preparing commission statements for brokers

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role
  • Solid knowledge of Xero and Excel
  • Strong bookkeeping skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and confident communicator
  • A self-starter with excellent organisational skills
  • HubSpot experience is a plus, but not essential
  • Relevant qualifications are preferred
