Job summary

Protect Group is seeking a proactive Accountant to join our Finance team in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will manage local and foreign accounts, handle GST/VAT returns, and oversee accounts payable within a multinational group.

The role requires SAIPA or CIMA qualification (or part-qualified), strong English communication, meticulous attention to detail, and solid IT skills including Excel.

Qualifications

• SAIPA or CIMA qualification or part-qualified status is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication are essential.
• Experience as an accountant with strong IT skills, including Excel, is required.
• Must be a self-motivated, organized professional with integrity and time-management skills.
• Experience dealing with international groups and multi-currency environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team, within a fast-paced SaaS Group environment.

Main role responsibilities:

• Maintaining accounts for local and foreign entities
• Accounting for GST/VAT and drafting returns
• Accounts Payable: Processing purchase invoices, preparing payment runs and setting up bank payments
• Preparation of month end accounts, which involves entity and group related month end adjustments and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and currency conversions
• Assisting the team in variety of tasks across the group both as regular tasks and ad hoc requests
• Taking ownership of some office administrative tasks
• Expense monitoring and expense accounting
• Assisting in preparing monthly and annual accounts

Candidate skills and requirements:

• SAIPA or CIMA qualified
• Fluency in professional standard English is essential
• Must have experience working as an accountant
• Must be part or fully qualified accountant
• Must have excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Must have strong IT skills, with working Excel knowledge, experience with a cloud accounting system will be an advantage
• Must be organised, confident and have a high degree of personal integrity
• Must be self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and good time management skills, comfortable dealing with incomplete information and meeting tight deadlines
• Must be experienced with working in a team as well as using your own initiative
• Dealing with international groups operating with multiple currencies beneficial
