Job summary

Our client, a reputable accounting firm in the Western Cape, is seeking an Accountant to handle daily accounting tasks, reconciliations, and financial reporting within a collaborative team. The role emphasizes accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to accounting standards.

The successful candidate will work with Sage Pastel and Xero, support VAT submissions, and contribute to monthly management accounts. SAIPA/SAICA affiliation is preferred, with exposure to debtors, creditors, and budgeting

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Experience with financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial administration.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices, payments, journals, and financial records.
• Manage debtors and creditors.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Assist with VAT and statutory submissions.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate processing and allocation of financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting and cash-flow monitoring.
• Maintain records using Sage Pastel and Xero.
• Provide financial information and support to management.

Duties:

Requirements:

• Experience with financial reporting and bank reconciliations
