Accountant

A proud investee company based in Stellenbosch, is looking for an Accountant to join their team.

As an Accountant, you’ll be managing end-to-end bookkeeping, tax, payroll, and financial reporting using cutting-edge tools like Xero, Syft, and SimplePay, while partnering with SMEs to simplify compliance, elevate insights, and spark smarter decision-making through automation and strategic advisory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and process transactions accurately using Xero.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations and ensure financial reporting aligns with compliance standards.

• Draft financial statements and compile detailed management reports.

• Handle VAT submissions, payroll processing, and all relevant tax filings efficiently.

• Leverage Xero and other digital tools to automate and streamline accounting workflows.

• Collaborate with clients to interpret financial data and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

• Support SMEs in refining financial systems and driving greater efficiency through tailored advisory.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Newly Qualified PA(SA) OR AGA (SA) OR In-progress CIMA

• 0 - 3 years of PQE

• Xero experience is highly preferred, and additional cloud - base software is advantageous

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A proactive individual with a strong desire to grow, continuously learn, and confidently embrace new challenges.

Salary:

• R25 000 - R35 000 / month (based on relevant experience)
