Accountant

A fund management company based in Stellenbosch, with two funds under their stewardship, is looking for an Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you'll be at the heart of financial operations - mastering payment processing, financial reporting, and tax compliance while driving strategic budgeting and cash flow management.

You'll also navigate foreign currency transactions, collaborate with auditors, and ensure compliance, playing a vital role in the organization's financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reconciling, recording, and processing payments
2. Capturing and processing monthly accounting records in line with accounting standards
3. Preparing management accounts and annual financial statements
4. Calculating, completing, and submitting monthly VAT returns
5. Calculating, completing, and submitting provisional and annual tax returns
6. Preparing budgets and regularly monitoring actual results against budgets
7. Managing foreign currency transactions and performing revaluations
8. Preparing audit support schedules and coordinating with auditors
9. Submitting financial and compliance information on relevant platforms
10. Managing cash flow and overseeing cash management
11. Ensuring compliance and maintaining procurement spend records

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Newly Qualified Professional Accountant (SA)
2. 0 - 2 years of experience
3. Proficient working on Excel
4. Proficient in spoken and written English, with a keen eye for detail
5. Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing pressure, and meeting tight deadlines
6. Skilled in collaborating effectively within a team environment

Salary: R27 - R32 / month
