Job summary

Catch Recruit is seeking an Accountant for an on-site role in Sandton. The successful candidate will reconcile bank accounts, prepare statements, collect from debtors, and finalize supplier and customer invoices.

You will also compile VAT reports, prepare payment files, and liaise with suppliers and customers on invoicing and payments. A finance background with multi-currency exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting is required.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and software.
• Ability to analyze financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certification (SAIPA/ACCA) is a plus.
• Experience in the international logistics/freight industry and multi-currency accounting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant. The Accountant will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts, preparing and sending out client statements/age analyses, collecting funds from debtors, finalising and processing supplier invoices, finalising and processing customer invoices, compiling VAT reporting for filing EU client VAT returns, preparing weekly/monthly supplier payment files, liaising with suppliers and customers regarding invoicing queries, payment queries, etc.
