Job description

An innovative company in the medical technology sector is looking for a detailoriented Accountant to join their team. This role is responsible for managing the full accounting function up to trial balance supporting financial reporting and ensuring statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage financial transactions and reconciliations as well as reporting up to trial balance.
• Reconcile and maintain bank transactions credit cards and intercompany accounts.
• Oversee monthend procedures including VAT reporting and payroll processing.
• Handle debtors and creditors management ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory management financial reporting and audits.
• Maintain statutory compliance and update company records with regulatory authorities.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and quality management system (QMS) guidelines.

Requirements :

• B.Com Accounting Degree or related financial qualification (Honours is advantageous).
• 1 year postarticles experience OR 3 years of experience without articles.
• Solid knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Pastel / Xero).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting principles.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance audit processes and inventory management.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Work Arrangement :

• Hybrid role 2 days workfromhome (after passing probation)
