A leading accounting firm is seeking an experienced accountant in Pretoria to maintain trial balances, process transactions, and assist in budget preparations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong accounting principles, proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of Sage Accounting software, alongside excellent organization and communication skills.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain accurate trial balances
Process journal entries and general ledger transactions, including reconciliations
Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Manage and maintain the fixed asset register
Prepare and load payments for release
Assist with the annual budget preparation
Assist with the preparation of management accounts, including detailed analysis of results
versus budgets and forecasts
Provide assistance to the Director with ad-hoc requests, projects, and responsibilities as
required
Skills and Competencies :
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
Experience with Sage Accounting software
Highly organized, efficient, and accurate with a keen eye for detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under deadlines
Hardworking, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
