Accountant

Accountant position available in Harrismith, Free State.

Our Client in the Production sector is looking for a qualified accountant with completed articles.

Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ledger Accounts and Recons;
• Recording financial transactions;
• Reconciling accounts and statements;
• Preparing financial statements;
• Generating financial reports;
• Budgeting and forecasting;
• Analysing financial data;
• Providing tax documentation;
• Performing accounts payable tasks;
• Performing accounts receivable tasks;
• Tracking diesel, stock (including seeds, livestock and wildlife) and sales;
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, and
• Assisting during financial audits.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (essential).
• Must be Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and accounting software.
• At least 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience in the debtors and creditors functions will be advantageous.
• Experience in the Agriculture and Food Manufacturing Industry will be beneficial to the applicant.
