Our client within the FMCG Industry is seeking an Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for both general and financial accounting, managing financial records and transactions, ensuring accurate reporting, tracking expenses, analyzing data, and supporting business decision-making. The role also involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing and examining financial documents, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits. Additionally, the accountant will handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
2. Record financial transactions accurately
3. Reconcile accounts and statements
4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
5. Prepare tax documentation
6. Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks
7. Track diesel, stock (including seeds, livestock, and wildlife), and sales
8. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting software
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Experience in financial reporting and analysis
• Experience with debtors and creditors functions is advantageous
• Experience in the Agriculture and Food Manufacturing Industry is beneficial
