Overview

Our Client, a well-established freight forwarding company in Kempton Park, is looking for an ambitious young Accountant to join their team. This role offers mentorship and training from the Financial Manager. The successful candidate doesn’t need to have all the answers but must bring the right attitude, a passion for learning, and a fresh perspective on accounting, with a strong drive for continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting (essential)
• Ideal for candidates with completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
• OR three years’ experience in accounting
• Freight forwarding industry experience is also advantageous
• Strong knowledge of full accounting functions
• Strong knowledge of tax, tax compliance
• Knowledge of international/expat tax would be an advantage
• Knowledge of transfer pricing would be beneficial
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting processes and ensure financial accuracy
• Handle tax calculations, submissions, and compliance
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Process accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations
