A well-established client in the manufacturing industry seeks a skilled Accountant to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance, with 3-5 years of relevant experience, especially in manufacturing. You will be handling day-to-day accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with VAT and tax regulations. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Sage, Syspro, and Pastel will be essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

• Full function of day-to-day accounting processes
• Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial close
• VAT, tax, and statutory compliance
• Cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• Supporting audit processes and compiling financial reports
• Budget support and cost tracking
• Inventory accounting and fixed asset maintenance

Experience and Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages (e.g., Sage, Syspro, Pastel)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• High attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset
