Qualifications

  • University degree in Accountancy or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role essential.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Assisting in the monthly payroll process and issuing client invoices.
  • Supporting annual audits and liaising with auditors.

Role Location: South Africa

Department: Finance

Employment Type: Full-time

The Role & Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation, review, and reconciliation of monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation and assistance in the monthly payroll process
  • Issuing client invoices, maintaining aged receivables, and related matters
  • Preparation and reconciliation of all revenue
  • Preparation of cash flows and related analysis
  • Preparation and assistance in periodic VAT returns
  • Executing the month-end process for timely submission of management accounts
  • Assisting the finance manager with variance analysis
  • Preparation of reports and reconciliations for the Financial Planning & Analysis team
  • Assistance in capital adequacy and regulatory reporting
  • Drafting and assisting in financial statements preparation
  • Supporting and coordinating annual audits and liaising with auditors
  • Supporting the finance manager with ad-hoc requests
Skills Required:
  • University degree in Accountancy or equivalent/Final stages of ACCA
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in Excel, IT, and accounting software
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Audit experience is a plus but not required
