Golden Link Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our finance team. You will maintain the general ledger, manage reconciliations, and support month-end reporting to ensure timely financial closure.

You will prepare journals, analyze variances, and assist with audits while guiding junior staff. A solid accounting qualification and strong analytical skills are essential for success.

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany entries.
• Manage month-end accounting activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review bank, cash, debtor, creditor, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare trial balance reviews, financial schedules, and management reporting.
• Analyze actual results against budgets, targets, and prior-year figures.
• Reconcile POS and dispensing system reports with cash-ups, banking, and settlements.
• Monitor supplier statements, creditor ageing, and outstanding debtor balances.
• Reconcile inventory balances and investigate stock variances and gross margin movements.

• Assist with audits and ensure financial controls and procedures are followed.
• Provide guidance to Junior Accountants when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate general ledger records and prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany entries.
• Manage month-end accounting activities and ensure deadlines are met.

• Investigate discrepancies and ensure reconciling items are resolved timeously.

Requirements & Skills:

• Relevant accounting qualification.
