Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation and capturing of monthly journals.
  • Creation and capturing of standard journals.
  • Liaise with cashbook to ensure payments are allocated promptly.
  • Process Mercantile Debit Order unpaids and reconcile between SuiteAcc and Cash Book.
  • Update daily cash flow for all bank accounts.
  • Complete and prepare various balance sheet reconciliations after month-end as per deadlines.
  • Update income statement analysis for high-risk accounts at month-end.
  • Review income statement analysis to ensure all expenses are recorded; raise accruals if necessary.
  • Identify new expenses and understand their nature and timing.
  • Review balance sheet accounts before month-end for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
  • Complete all responsibility-based General Ledger Balance Sheet Reconciliations and upload into Greenline monthly.
  • Prepare journals at month-end for Goodwill, Intangibles Rented Model, DSF, and Dealers.
  • Check banking details for customer refunds on Wednesdays and Fridays.
  • Provide capex numbers for new fixed assets.
  • Process disposals of fixed assets in the system.
  • Handle inter-company/business area transfers for fixed assets.
  • Ensure no errors before depreciation is run on fixed assets.
  • Update dealer commission spreadsheets weekly and prepare relevant journals at month-end.
  • Update schedules for leases, interest, and fees for ABSA/Wesbank.
  • Assist with audit queries as required.
  • Support ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy work area as per company standards.
