Our client in the Retail industry (Pretoria) is in urgent need of an Accountant with a strong Retail background (Understanding inter-branch transactions, stock etc.).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an independent worker who is task-driven, self-motivated, and proactive.

Responsibilities
  1. Full Accounting function up to Balance Sheet reconciliations
  2. Monthly Management Reports
  3. Monthly preparation of audit file
  4. Monthly comparison and reporting based on Budget versus Actuals
  5. SARS correspondence, audits, and preparation and submission of returns
  6. Maintenance of accounting system allocations, reconciling of General Ledger, Creditors, Debtors, and Fixed Asset register
  7. Reviewing and implementation of accounting procedures, standards, and controls
  8. Setup of Project accounting, bill of materials, procedures, standards, and controls
  9. Bank Reconciliations
  10. Petty Cash Reconciliations
  11. Cash Ups
  12. Weekly Management Meetings
  13. Assist with capturing of Stock takes
  14. Creditors Reconciliations & Supplier Queries
  15. Debtors
  16. Ad hoc administration tasks
  17. Reporting to Group Financial Director & Financial Manager
Minimum Requirements
  1. 3 to 5 Years of Working Experience
  2. Relevant qualifications paired with experience
  3. Fully bilingual in AFRIKAANS and English
  4. Experience in the Retail industry
  5. Experience with Intercompany accounts (Inter-branch transactions)
