Lovisa - Financial Accountant

Lovisa is a global, rapidly growing retail company with stores in over 20 countries. We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Banking Finance team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers exposure to an Australian Listed Retail company and the opportunity to evolve with the company's growth.

Position Purpose and Expectations

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing processes related to existing and new store bank stationery.
  2. Managing new store openings and minimizing subsequent AAR actions.
  3. Representing the team at weekly AAR meetings for new stores.
  4. Leading a team of two direct reports.
  5. Reviewing output for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  6. Guiding month-end tasks and owning Zendesk and shared Finance Support mailbox.
  7. Assisting with daily reconciliations and building/reviewing monthly P&L reports by country.
  8. Reviewing regional Balance Sheets and ownership of Outstandings Consolidated report.
  9. Managing weekly transfer lists and assisting with month-end reviews.
  10. Liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance across global regions.
  11. Participating in long-term projects such as international bank account integration.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of banking operations, reconciliations, and finance processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Success in process improvement and a growth mindset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
