Job summary

A medical group in Sandton is searching for a well-experienced Accountant to join their team with significant growth potential towards a senior role. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant financial degree and have 3-5 years of accounting experience, particularly in the Medical, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing sectors. This position starts as a 3-month temporary contract with the possibility of permanency, performing full-function accounting including managing cashbooks, payroll, and tax preparation.

Responsibilities:

1. Report directly to the Financial Manager
2. Hold a B / Bpt or relevant NFQ Level 7 financial degree
3. Have 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant
4. Start on a 3-month temporary contract (probation period) with a strong possibility of permanency
5. Perform full function accounting
6. Reconcile General Ledger Accounts
7. Prepare Trial Balance and Management Accounts
8. Manage Cashbook, Debtors, Creditors, and Reconciliations
9. Handle Payroll and VAT Reconciliations
10. Tax preparation, bank reconciliations, and cash flow planning and management
