Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identifies sales opportunities.
  • Negotiates and closes sales deals.
  • Makes telephone calls and conducts in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Ensures customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Answers technical questions from potential and existing customers.
  • Attends trade shows and conferences and provides feedback on new products, pricing, and market conditions.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.

Administration:

  • Prepares and presents bids and quotations that meet specific customer expectations and project requirements.
  • Maintains a database of information for sales prospects and existing customers.
  • Keeps accurate records of all invoiced sales and commission.
  • Collects information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant sales experience in the Mpumalanga area (Secunda).
  • Matric Certificate.
  • Diploma in marketing/sales.
  • Diploma/trades test in electronics with 3-5 years experience in electronic sales, preferably in the mining industry.
