About the job Accountant

Our client in the retail sector is looking to recruit an accountant to join the large team. This role would be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They play a key role in the financial operations of the organization, providing accurate and timely information to support decision-making.

Key Duties Include:

1. Maintain and reconcile financial records, including general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial documents.
2. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards and regulations.
3. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support strategic planning.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
6. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and management, to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
7. Conduct financial audits to verify accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records.

Qualifications:
