Are you detail-obsessed, organized, and ready to bring your A-game to a dynamic team? We're looking for an Accountant who communicates like a pro—whether via emails, meetings, or a quick chat over coffee. If you love keeping things professional with a dash of fun, we'd love to meet you!

Job Description:

  1. Preparing multiple cash books and bank reconciliations.
  2. Allocating debtor receipts and creditor payments.
  3. Attending to ad-hoc accounting and HR queries.
  4. Reconciling manual MS Excel attendance register/biometrics with Sage ESS leave applications.
  5. Sage VIP monthly payroll processing (3 entities - 4 branches) from MS Excel schedules.
  6. Extracting and submitting EMP201 and loading payments for 3 entities.
  7. Preparing offers and contracts for approval and onboarding.
  8. Loading monthly payslips and IRP5s on ESS for 3 entities.
  9. Creating FNB OBE payroll import files for 3 entities.
  10. Monthly UIF declarations via VIP.
  11. Extracting CTC reports from VIP in MS Excel.
  12. Reconciling staff loans and medical aid to Sage.
  13. Completing and submitting IRP5s after interim and annual EMP501 reconciliation on e-filing.
  14. Submitting CIPC annual returns and processing any changes.
  15. Preparing VAT (VAT201) and provisional tax (IRP6) calculations for submission.
  16. Extracting tax clearance certificates and reviewing notices on e-filing.
  17. Annual submission of COIDA returns online.
  18. Capturing cash books and bond statements for 3 investment properties and 2 retail entities.
  19. Updating asset registers and processing depreciation for 3 investment property entities.
  20. Extracting monthly retail management accounts in MS Excel for 5 entities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAGE 200 Evolution.
  • IQ and Premier payroll experience would be advantageous.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Planning and organizing abilities.
  • Team player mentality.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years proven experience at a minimum.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree and/or completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal communication and team collaboration skills.
